The two-day conference will focus on revisiting clinical skills and understanding underlying pathophysiologic mechanisms of common diseases. Case-based learning scenarios will be presented in a multimedia format with ample time for interaction between attendees and invited experts. Cases include unstable angina, upper gastrointestinal bleeding with cirrhosis, pneumonia and respiratory failure, drug-induced hypersensitivity and desensitization, threatened limb and type 2 diabetes, hyperkalemia and hyponatremia, arthritis, cancer screening, hyperthyroidism and radioactive iodine therapy, fatty liver and secondary hypertension. There will be two plenary lectures and a session on mobile technologies for the clinician.
